Trauma, Relationships, Sex, The Self

I am a trauma therapist specializing in relationships. I view the counseling relationship as a collaborative journey and I stand by the notion that the human condition is a shared experience. My approach to the counseling relationship is of a fellow traveler, meeting you where you are on your journey.

I both believe and believe in my clients.

My psychotherapeutic scope of practice is rooted in Somatic and Systems theory. I am diligent in supporting you through your own lived experiences and shared relationships.

I am not afraid of your pain. I believe in the counselor's role to help understand, process, and build with compassion, integrity, mutual trust, and respect.

I have earned the following degrees, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011 and 2021, respectively. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I was a bodywork practitioner for over a decade and I provide an expertise in bodywork integral to psychotherapy work, connecting the systems of the body with emotional pain and psychological distress.

I am fully trained in EMDR and provide EMDR for Individuals and Couples. I received training and consultation from an EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) approved program. I am pursuing advanced credentialing in EMDR to become EMDR Certified, as recognized by EMDRIA.

I am Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy trained. A research based approach for relationship health, The Gottman Method connects couples to actionable research based tools to support their relationship goals.

I am currently receiving advanced training towards certification as a Sex Therapist. I receive ongoing consultation from a certified supervisor of Sex Therapy towards certification. As a Sex Therapist in training, I address sexual concerns, sexual function and dysfunction, sexual pleasure, sexual development across the lifespan, sexual abuse, sexual trauma, sexuality across cultures, and LGBTQIA issues.

I am a medical plant advocate. This means I provide support to clients through psychoeducation and appropriate physician referral needs.

As a Louisiana native and Lafayette, La resident for over 20 years, I am deeply committed to improving the mental health landscape in our beloved community. I provide mental health therapeutic services for individuals, partnered relationships, and groups.
